Nutrition Education & reverse dieting

Who would have thought? In 2018 I looked into reverse dieting and macro counting and read/listened to everything I could get my hands on to learn what was going on with my body. This was totally against what society tells us! Within a year, I was able to lose 20 lbs. while eating more and working out less. It was a slow and steady process of gradually increasing calories but thankfully I’m finally at a happy place and have been here for 6 years now (with a few babies in between). Now, I feel amazing, I eat what I want, I’m not exhausted and I have all the energy in the world.

Eventually, I realized my metabolism had tanked and I needed to EAT MORE and WORKOUT LESS.

After college, I started gaining weight very quickly, despite how much I was running or how little I was eating. I was freaked out! I kept asking myself, “what is going on?! This is so weird, I’m doing everything right!”. I was miserable, exhausted, puffy, tired, hungry, etc. I didn’t know what to do or where to go from here.

If you're here reading this, you might relate.

This worked for almost 8 years, until it didnt.

I had always been very thin growing up. Not because "my metabolism was high", but because I pretty much dieted my whole life.

The Back Story

I did every sport you could think of growing up and eventually got into running. The more I ran, the more weight I lost. It got to a point where I was 100 lbs. soaking wet, but still running 10 miles a day (everyday!) and barely eating.

I want to help as many women as I can get out of this dieting rut!

I look back now and I'm so thankful I had to go through this process

If you feel like you're undereating or over exercising but gaining weight, don't worry... you're not broken and there is hope. If you've been doing the same diet for 10 years and nothing has changes, it's time to try something different.

The Dietitians

Meet the team

I'm the founder of Brooke Sobh Nutrition. I went to Florida State University for my Bachelors in Dietetics and University of North Florida for my Masters in Dietetics.

I have a passion for teaching you how to eat the foods they love, build muscle and burn fat WITHOUT low calorie diets or endless hours of cardio. I may also dive into functional nutrition as I am realizing knowing the ROOT cause of weight loss resistance is becoming more and more important.

When I’m not working, you can find me taking walks with my husband, my two daughters and pups or playing beach volleyball (my biggest passion!).

I am a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist of over 8 years from Wilmington, North Carolina. I’m passionate about helping busy people achieve sustainable weight loss by including all of their favorite foods. I went to East Carolina University for my undergraduate in Nutrition and Dietetics and received my Masters in Nutrition from North Carolina Central University.

I truly believe all foods fit. I also specialize in PCOS, fertility, menopause and diabetes management. When I’m not working, creating easy recipes or exercising you can find me walking my sweet pup named Herschel, watching sports with my husband or enjoying the occasional chicken fajitas with a good ol’ spicy margarita.

Hola! My name is Leonila Campos. I went to California state university, Fresno for my undergraduate degree in Food Science and Nutrition- Dietetics. I also obtained my Masters of Business Admission from Fresno State University.

I am passionate about helping parents transform their health with simple and individualized nutrition. I also specialize in plant based nutrition as I have been a vegan for over 20 years now.

Nutrition is my passion. When I am not seeing clients, you can find me weight lifting, swimming, and just enjoying life with my boys (including my husband).

My name is Olivia and I am a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist based in Ohio. I earned my undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Akron. I am passionate about helping people build healthy habits that are realistic, sustainable, and fit their individual lifestyle. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to health, and that everyone has their own version of a healthy lifestyle.

I especially enjoys working with busy moms to help them reach their health goals in a way that feels doable and sustainable. As a busy mom myself, I understand the challenges of balancing nutrition, family, and everyday life, and I focus on practical strategies that work in real life, not perfection. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my dogs, watching Netflix with my husband, and trying new foods.

More about Leo

A bilingual licensed registered dietitian with over 8 years of experience. I am passionate about helping parents transform their health with simple and individualized nutrition and also specialize in plant based nutrition.

Originally from Long Island, NY but escaped the chilly winters for Florida where I first began my career in dietetics and nutrition. I'm part of a federally funded nutrition program aimed to serve and support low-income pregnant and postpartum women, breastfeeding women, infants and children up to the age of 5 years old, by focusing on providing nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support and promotion, and providing resources to healthy eating with the nutritious, supplemental foods these families receive while on the program. Over the past decade, my passion continues to grow towards teaching and helping individuals acquire the knowledge they need to achieve sustainable healthy habits for their lifestyle all while making nutrition fun and easy!

I grew up as a gymnast and went through college on a college scholarship. I got into running and figured if I just ran more and ate less, I would still never have issues with my weight. There is so much more to that weight loss story. After years with this mindset, I wrecked my thyroid and was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s – thankfully in the early stages, so I have been able to stay on top of it.

FOOD IS MEDICINE if used correctly (no, not just your next fad diet). Now, I enjoy working with clients struggling with gut issues, autoimmune, thyroid problems, blood sugar imbalances, and fueling for fat loss. Your body needs proper nutrition to heal and lose weight in the long run. Sometimes it requires healing FIRST to lose weight, long term.

More about Lauren

A registered dietitian nutritionist  from Long Island with over 10 years of experience, and a certified lactation counselor for 5 years. I have spent majority of my career thus far working as a dietitian for the WIC program.

My interest in nutrition started right before I started college, when I struggled with my own eating disorder. As a gymnast growing up, I struggled with body image and finding the right balance in fueling my body. That experience inspired me to help others facing similar challenges. I love supporting clients in recovery, helping them feel confident around food, and finding approaches that fit their lives.

When I’m not working with clients, I love running, lifting, going to the beach, and finding a balance between staying active and enjoying all the other things life has to offer.

She has gained performance nutrition experience within Division I programs including Boston College, Duke, and USF. Her experience spans team settings such as soccer, softball, tennis, football, lacrosse, and field hockey, along with one-on-one nutrition counseling with athletes.
Having grown up immersed in sports, Jules developed a deep appreciation for the role athletics play in building character and preparing individuals for life beyond competition. During high school, she recognized the impact proper fueling had on her own performance, sparking her interest in nutrition. Jules earned her BS in Nutrition and MS in Sport Administration, while playing 5 years of division I softball. As she begins her career in dietetics, Jules is eager to positively impact athletes’ relationships with food and help build confidence in fueling for optimal performance.
