I signed up for Brookes nutrition counseling as a “Lets see how this works for me.” I honestly wasn’t 100% mentally ready and I was hesitant to dive in however I knew I needed guidance. I was assigned the most wonderful dietitian, Sarah. To be a dietitian, you must have a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, be accepted into a 1200+ hour internship, pass the national exam and complete continuing education hours every year.
Dietitians can work throughout the community in hospitals, schools, public health clinics, nursing homes, fitness centers, food management, food industry, universities, research and private practice.
